Well I managed 1 last weekend and 2 today. All wood ducks. Aside from a few wood ducks I didn't see anything else. |

Yeh, we aint got chit up this way. Talked to few folks hunting different spots from Caddo Lake down to the Red River and its slow. Most didn't fire a shot. I should have had my 3 woodies but I got caught napping a couple times. |

We saw a few this morning but only had one fly in range and we both missed. We were used to not seeing anything and got caught by surprise. |

I hunted all the way through Thursday and our bags consisted of mostly teal with some greys and a few mottled.I know a few guys that hunt QA and Wilsons area and the shooting has slowed down on that side.I'll be back at it tomorrow morning. I'm getting bad reports from all over.Sorry to hear that some of you fellas don't have anything I know we all wait a long time for this to come and it sucks when the hunting is crappy. I'm listening to my brother and nieghbor hooking up right now to leave and hunt my shit

It took a while but me and 2 guys had our 18 ducks this morning, 16 BWT and two grey's. Down south it seems like its still teal season. |

My buddy is a guide and he and his crew shot 48 in his blind,another blind shot 8 boxes of shells for 24 birds,the other blind ran out of shells with only 14 birds in hand.Those teal are rough on weekend warriors.They had a mix of birds mostly teal. My brother and crew shot limits this morning also. |

I am a little surprised to hear that LA is slow. WIth the record numbers being reported in the breeding grounds, I would expect LA to have a good number down already. Hope for a hard freeze of North. A good number of ducks in FL. I took my Dad out for the opening and had: 1 Mottled 1 Hybrid Green Head/Mottled 10 Ringers. |

duck numbers up my ass. hunted sandy cove all weekend for the opener. 9 coots. 0 ducks. actually saw 5 ducks on sunday. worst opener i've ever seen. [30 yrs hunting there]

I had birds in my holes weeks before the open but the flood spread everything out. I spent all afternoon on the river and didn't see a duck. |

I feel your pain! Went today nice setup, seeing a lot of birds working nothing even came close! Put 3 shells in never fired one.... Oh well I know where I'm going tomorrow... hunted some marsh and the tides were extremely high causing birds to land in places they weren't landing a few days ago. |

This has to be the worst start of a duck season I've ever seen. I hope it turns around soon, but it will probably be half over. We should have good numbers next year. LOL!! Hope everybody has a good duck season soon. |

You boys need to find a new hobby.. You're season just began and you're already mad that the dux ain't there.. Imagine being in our shoes where the season is more than 1/2 over and the dux are still in the Dakotas and CA.. This year has been miserable for sure.. |

I agree..We have a shiat load of ducks here in South Texas.We limit just about every hunt.The problem we are having is all the ducks are rafting up on the open bay.We need wind.. Lots of wind.I think the La birds skipped there stop and come on down here.
