Turkey season opens on the 27th here. Had my plots all ready to go, all excited to take a junior hunter out to tag his first long beard and then it happens.

My appendix decides it doesn't want to live inside me anymore and lands me in the hospital after what I thought was just the flu.

Quick surgery to remove a rather large infectious appendix and a doctors note that will remove me from hunting and fishing for the next 10-12 weeks.

Fml.

At least I'm back home off work for a few days, but the limitations I've been put on pale in comparison to my inability to hunt or fish until June.

Stupid appendicitis.

Man that sux. Happened to me on a family vacation. Spent two days in the hospital and the rest of the vacation watching the kids play on the beach through the window of a hotel.

That sucks bro. You will get out fishing before 10 to 12 weeks. Coach Kline in the waterboy says it best, "what momma doesn't know won't hurt her"

tough break Buzz - your young and fit so recovery won't take that long and you'll be back at it

It will.heal very quickly I think it only lasted 2 weeks for me and I was good to go

It's nasty I know that. the Dr put mine in a jar and showed it to me

So update - feeling better. After having my meds and antibiotics switched out a few times I'm trying to get out in my boat..... as a passenger =)

Pike just opened here and I just want to go out on a little back lake with a friend

And of course.....all my hunting buddies have sent me their tagged out pics as a constant reminder of me being a weak b*tch lol
