A friend wants to enter the waterfowling world and needs his first set of decoys. I've gone to cork ones but he is not ready for that and wants good quality plastic duck decoys. Any recommendations? |

I'll second GHG....I also use the Flambeau Storm Front's and they are good decoys but the paint durability leaves a little something to be desired. |

Ok, thank you! I had the older G&H ringneck decoys and they were good, except the paint, but I enjoyed re-touching them up before each season, sold them off for a bargain and invested in cork and I am not looking back. A few of the swivel head drakes fell apart but I just glued them together. I was told the current paint is better. I still have a dozen Higdon ringers that are ok but nothing special. |

G & H OR Dakota decoys GHG aren't that bad for the price but aren't made or detailed as well. |

Dakota's are the best looking no doubt but the paint isn't bulletproof GHG is junk and I'll never buy any more from them at the price they want |

I love my dakota's, but those avian x sure are nice if you make any death marches. A sack of avian x probably weighs 50-60% less than Dakotas. |

Dakota mallards are jam up, but the Dakota pintails I have look horrible. I have some Avian X pintails and they have held up pretty well. For what they are though, Academy's Game Winner deeks do the job too. |
