I know they are not used that much but I am going to use my new 20 for ducks some this year and was wondering what everyone likes to use for ammo. Thinking about going with #4 Heavy shot but I am open to suggestions. |

^what he said. Mostly because 20 gauge steel is hard to find if you don't order it. Sent from...wait, Where am I? |

I'm going to use my 50 year old 20 gauge for some ducks this year also. I'm thinking of trying Rio Bismuth. Sent from my SCH-R950 using Tapatalk |

Honestly I have killed a lot of ducks with Winchester xpert HV steel back when I shot a 20 gauge! My friend used to shoot low brass 2-3/4inch number 7 at ducks and could dirt roll them at 40 yards! But I wouldn't recommend that lol. But the Xperts are good for the money.. |

I almost hate to say it bc it seems to be the new "echo boy, bandwagon shotshell" but i really like hevi metal. Im not real sure what it is that does it but when i was shooting it last year i didnt have to chase as many cripples. |

It's got steel in it too, so you'd want to use like classic doubles, those are good old gun loads Sent from...wait, Where am I? |

I will be shooting it out of a brand-new Beretta 400 so I can shoot steel no problem. Just thought it might be worth getting an upgraded shell because it's A little smaller payload. Glad to see some people are shooting the 20 as well. Should be a lot of fun shooting them over the decoys out of the layout boats where most of the shots are inside to 30 yards. |

Xpert number 4's work just fine. I like to take the old skb out from time to time.. |

I've been shooting Hevi-Metal #3's for 4 years and love them. I have shot other shells throughout the season just to see if there is a difference to justify spending the money on Hevi-Metal. Its worth every penny for the Hevi-Metal. Much less cripples! My opinion on regular or normal steel shot is to shoot higher velocity (1500 fps or above) to make up for the decrease in weight so you get the penetration. |
