Just show up at Venice Marina about 2 AM and you should be able to find plenty people making the run. Rain and thunderstorms with 20 knot winds forecasted. Y'all have fun with that. I love to duck hunt but I love myself a little bit more.

Re: Anyone hunting Pass a Loutre opening morning?
Every time I read a post about hunting out of Pass a Loutre (l'autre": is it "otter's pass" or the "other pass"?) it always seems that there's a safety warning and a final "be careful" as though they may never be back. If its that dangerous I wouldn't want to go out there.I don't care how many ducks I could kill.

Re: Anyone hunting Pass a Loutre opening morning?
yea and not to mention the crew boats throwin 5 foot waves whether it windy or not. if u drive down u are in danger and if u tow ur boat down ur boats in danger. just not a place to fuck around. you just gotta respect the river

Outboard and a pirogue is still the best option in my opinion for hunting down there.

What kind of nonsense? Were people just loud and drinking or was someone messing with you? Hope you made it back safe.

Re: Anyone hunting Pass a Loutre opening morning?
Had a great trip down there just got back to the house. probably the best hunting I've had but we had a boat sink at the dock in the storm saturday night and another blow up saturday night. that place will push ur gear to the limits

Somebody left a big mess on the camp ground, bunch of tore up tents and stuff. its ridiculous. I hope they start holding people responsible down there.
