I just got a Lowrance ELite 5 HDI and was looking for reviews, pros and cons of the different mapping cards for Louisiana. The two I am looking at are the Louisiana Geaux card and LA 1 card from standard mapping. I mostly hunt Venice and the Atchafalaya. Thanks |

I got one too. Only downfall I can say is that if you run one up front for a trolling motor, you can't network the elite 5's. That's it. Other than that they have the same capabilities as and hds5. Minus side scan It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |

Legend Cartography sells a mapping card with all of south Louisiana on it for $200 and shows on your unit the same as google earth. Standard mapping also has good cards but have to buy in sections and comes out to be a little more pricey |

Can't beat the service through Legend. If you have any questions I'm sure you could give them a call. They make stuff for up north also and the chips I have are very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can tell you with an legand has the most detail from a GPS card on the market! They are not as expensive as an E-Card. It's 229$ and covers from Texas to Biloxi Ms. While an E-card will have 3 zones unless you buy an 1 card and it's 300$ |
