Dirty, lowlife, no good, three toed yellow bellied cud guzzling POS hit three of us! One guy that owns a diesel saw the bucket under my truck but didn't think anything of it. His finished leaking in his driveway before he noticed it. I made it a few miles up the road before I found it. Needless to say I've been "huntin" much as fishing. These damn tanks are plastic and expensive so I filed an insurance claim but for now it's getting along with a roofing screw in it. Boy I'd like to catch a sumbum near that Ford...

Leave the screw and put some type of sealer or fiberglass patch ove it and keep the money.

Yeah the whitebass were on fire this weekend up here but we are gettin em through the ice. 2 buddies and I filled up 3 6 gallon buckets full of em. As soon as we could get a jig down the hole another fish was comin up to hit it. We kept 160-180 fish on friday. All ready to start pickling them. We only save the top strip of meat everything below the rib bones is tossed. We can keep as many whitebass as we want up here. No limits

Awww SON! They're a blast everywhere across the southern half of the U.S. that I've ever fished for 'em but I've never caught any through hard water! Do they fight well when mostly frozen? The main river they spawn in here is rising and they're all out in the woods now but it'll be back down by early next week. Some of you folks enjoy some seriously liberal limits compared to Florida! I've got to admit I'm a little jealous, but I never really liked cleaning several hundred of any damn thing... Haha

2 folks, 2 5wt fly rods. 2 sore casting arms, and 257 fish made this past Saturday an absolute blast. Yet another white bass run in the books for me. We probably only did about 4 hours of real fishing. I don't get to hang out on the rivers I used to wander so I wanted to ride around and check everything out to see what's changed in the year i've been gone. Good to see yall doing this, in my are it's usually ninjas sitting on buckets chasing these things. We gave all our fish to a couple Mexicans and you couldn't wipe the smile off their face with a 2x4

Rain last week muddied up the water, alot slower bite almost stale , last weekend . It usually starts getting real good in march. Then the sac a lait will be cruising the banks, come March April .

Those walleyes are definitely a species I wish we had around here. For sure one of the finest eating fish on earth!

Bt, I don't travel very far to molest wildlife that's reasonably available in my home range but those fish have made me burn gasoline goin' north a time or two! Haha

BT they are pretty much like an oversized perch. Theyre one of the best tasting freshwater fish you can find IMO. They can be frustrating not the easiest fish to catch spring you can get them in shallow and in the rivers but most of the year they school up and stay deep. they are well worth the effort when you do get on them.
