I don't wear it as a fashion statement... but when huntin flooded timber around here everything's gotta be covered up. you either paint it or wear a face mask if ur huntin with me in that environment. Face masks & beards don't jive... so I paint. Too much of a shortage of birds to miss opportunities on a shiny face or hands. If you think a duck can't spot an open face in da woods... ur sadly mistaken.

Outside of that... if huntin from a blind somewhere where ur pretty much covered up... it's silly.

werd to stumpy. I used paint when I hunted Indian Bayou and Sherburne, not in PI i waear a mask during teal season to keep the skeeters off but its a PITA when takin a dip.

i do believe you gotta cover ya face when ya huntin but dont use any paint no more. i use tha charred cork method.. less greasy and comes off way better than tha paint... plus it dont get in ya beard and it smells good!

If you are huntin wit no blind or mesh for concealment ie. standin next to a tree then yes you need face paint or a mask. But for all da people dat put dat face paint on while huntin in blind behind a wall of cut brush, I guess it makes dem feel tough.

hmmmmmm, i hunt out of a gatorhide so the only thing showing is your face and sometimes I have considered it BUT I think I would be to embarassed at the boat launch to look like one of these kids who crank the D to the duck commander videos...

I carry two mask in my bag for some of the real ugly mofos that hunt with me

I never done the face paint thing but I do carry a couple of the skeeter proof face mask with me in my hunting bag at all times.

i used the burned cork too. just bought a under armour coldgear facemask and im going to give that a try too.

Been hunting ducks since i was a little feller!! Never ever had i put that shit on my face learn how to call and shoot.. Face paint is for fags lol.. REMIND ME OF 95% OF THE RETARDS THAT HUNT WMA!!

Since I was blessed wit de inability to grow what would be considered a manly beard I use face paint to paint on a beard, den I put on a facemask!

If Phil & the boys wear it, it's ok by me. I grow a beard and when they get really skiddish, I wear a mask. But, just for the record, Shafer is gay.

If you're painting your face just to look cool you're a retard. If you're NOT painting your face because you're afraid of looking like a fag you're still a retard. Who cares what other people think? You guys are way too sensitive to the opinions of others. One thing that will always be true: You can never be TOO concealed.

It is fun to mess with people and tell them "Hey here is some face paint go ahead and put this on we are goin to need this and meet us at the truck." They get in the truck and realize No one else is wearing it and don't have anyway to get it off very funny Even beter after the hunt go eat breakfast some where

yeah...as you can hopefully tell...I put in on as a joke...was going for a TOTAL blackface, but couldnt get it on thick evenly.
