Being from North Texas,I am far from an expert on coastal fishing. But my family absolutely loves it down there. We are headed to Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix to chase reds and specs this weekend. Any reports on how the fishing has been down there? My main question is about the tide. I know it's good to find clean, moving water and the tide falling preferably. But how do you read a tide chart and use it to your advantage to catch fish? What do you look for in regards to the ideal tide range and what type of areas do you fish when it's falling or rising? |

Most important thing is tide movement. If the tide is moving i go. If its not i dont go. Dont make it too complicated. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk |

When the tide is falling, look for ponds that are draining into pipelines or lakes and fish the mouth of the pond. With a rising tide, look for deep cuts that dog leg. |

Most people can always Stumble on some reds in Delacroix! As long as the tide range is .5'+ id go try. |
