 Shotgun shells?
What shotgun shells do you use? I was using the cheap whinchester steel shot, but going to try a box of blackcloud.

 Re: Shotgun shells?
Kent Faststeel 3" 1 1/8 4 shot. 1560 FPS. Or the 3" 1 3/8 4 shot 1300 FPS. Strong enough for the big ducks, and a nice pattern for teal. Best all around load IMO. I prefer the 1 1/8 personally, especially for the fast fliers!

I usually use the cheap Winchester shells but after having so much difficulty finding shells this year I am going to order a case of Kent Faststeels

 Re: Shotgun shells?
Really like Remington Sportsman Hi Speed, but can't hardly find em. The Sportsman Sure Shot are good too, but are starting to get pricey. Like the Fast Steels, but always seem to miss the after season sales b/c spent too much on Christmas.
Stick with whatever your gun is shootin good. In my experience, the Black Clouds are over rated and over priced. JMO

 Re: Shotgun shells?
IMO.. It dont really matter what you shoot or how much they cost; If you dont hit what your shooting at then you may as well throw the shells at um and save the time it takes to clean your gun... Thats what I'v started doing... But back to the question at hand, I throw the cheap shells...

Kent faststeel and federal ultra shok 3" in everything from BB-4's.
If you check out Rogers sporting goods site they have free shipping on all cases of federal steel shot right now and thier prices are very hard to top.

 Re: Shotgun shells?
I like the Kent faststeel 4 shot. Never been a fan of the blackcloud but I know guys that love it. They've always been out of my price range.

 Re: Shotgun shells?
I use the cheapest shells I can find. And with that, I can miss just as good as anybody else.

Heavy Metal mostly, with some Heavy Shot. I put the Heavy shot in as the third shell.

 Re: Shotgun shells?
I used to shoot the cheap winchesters until I bouht a box and not one of them shot right. The BB's would roll out of the barrel, litterally. Blackcloud is what I shoot now. Last wednesday, out of a full box of winchesters, brand new box, 10 wouldn't load correctly in anyone's gun. 4 different guns, all different brands, semi and pump, had trouble w/ them. F*ck wincheste

 Re: Shotgun shells?
3" Kent Faststeel 2 or 4 for ducks and 3 1/2" Federal heavy high velocity BBB for geese. Cut open one of those cheap ass experts and check out the pellets. It will have everything from 7 to BB in most of em. Bunch of odd shapes too.

 Re: Shotgun shells?
i just let em sit in the decoys and shoot em with a beeman pellet rifle. most days i only shoot 6 pellets. and only cost me 1.79 per 100 pellets so it only cost me like $5 a year shootin 300 birds a season.
