Worst duck season I have had to suffer through EVER. But now that it has finally ended, I get to concentrate on my first love, TURKEYS!!!!! Lucked out and got three new places to hunt, all of which nobody turkey hunts, first one is 4600 acres with a lodge and cook, the next one is a friend of that guy who has 11,000 acres and the last one is 2500 acres. A friend got on a lease there and told me it was flat ate up with birds. The first field he entered had over 100 birds in it. The land owner says they are so thick there that they can not plant food plots for deer because the turkeys eat all the seeds. Made quite a few new turkey calls that should be the death of quite a few of them. Now if only the season will hurry up and get here

Sometimes we have good seasons and sometimes ya' don't. I feel sorry for the turkeys because you sound pissed. It sounds like it will be fun. Good look to ya chasing them thunder chickens.

Do them turkeys really eat the seeds. I hear alot of folks say that but from what I have seen they are chasing the bugs in the fields. Good luck on the birds........

Good luck to you misfire. I am going to try my luck up here in North Alabama. I've got 500 acres over towards Scottsboro. Seen turkey every time I've been deer hunting. Its not uncommon to see 60 or more out in the green field at one time. Just hope I can happen up on them during the season. I'm still green at the turkey hunting.
