A buddy and I plan on going to the coast sometime in the next few months. We want to try some trout fishing or sight fishing for reds. I have a boat to use and fishing equipment. We are looking for someone to show us the ropes. We don't mind pitching in and paying someone some kind of fee or gas expense or something. I am down for any kind of fishing, what time is best for reds and trout!!! Thanks in advance. Michael

as of now the weather sucks. wait till the weather warms up around may and you will be better off trout fishing. when the river gets lower the saltwater will move back in and the mule trout will follow shortly after b/c they will come to eat the shrimp when that happens you will be able to catch more and hit the big ones. hope this helps

Come over here and we'll put you on some fish!

We've been catching some trophy trout, reds are in thick the flounder have moved back into the bays and I think (hope) we just had a our last big cold front of the year.

Great time to come down here would be during Wallisville Run... You'll be minutes from some of the best saltwater fishing around Houston area.
