Post Gar lines
I'm just curious how you guys rig your gar lines if you run any. I make mine with a 2.5'-3' long bamboo with a 2-liter on one end and a steel leader made from stainless tie wire on the other, and hook of course. The bamboo allows the gar to swallow the hook before the 2-liter sets it.

Got any pics of the gar lines? Any pics on cleaning them? What would be the smallest gar in length that you would consider cleaning for the table?
Thanks
Randy

Brother-In-Law and I will stick em on the slow nights. The only way I know to clean them is with a cane knife. I tried a saws all. Didn't work too good. Went back to the cane knife.

Something else I learned from the old folk. I use a spoon to separate the meat from the tendons. Worked really well, didn't have to fight with them in the grinder.
