If you're in the NOLA area and get the Picayune, check out Bob Marshal's article in the sports section. (4/11/2010). My Cliff-notes version of the article is that he took the bowfishing side of the argument and broke it down into 3 issues. 1) it's decimating the redfish populations in certain ponds. He refutes this argument by saying that so does rodnreel guides. 2) it's a venue for taking undersized fish. He says that rodnreel fishermen have more of an impact there due to there is only a few thousand of bowfishers compared to the 600,000 anglers. 3) it's an unethical way to kill redfish because of fair chase. He states that this argument is a social issue that should pass the muster of the masses (non-fisherman that vote). I tried to find the article online to post here, but came up empty. I wasn't a big fan of Marshal until I read this. Hopefully his word carries some weight.

When is this asinine bill up for a vote?

Yea Boob Marshal is a joke he ought to write for the La sportsman.

At least he had enough sense to see that this bill was garbage.
