State troopers are always on 69 and 96 and 87 (the state trooper on 87 is freaking hot!!! She looks like Patricia arquette in ray ban aviators and state trooper uniform...almost worth getting pulled over by her.. lol ).... do 75 and be safe....

54 boats. That's a lot. We're gonna have to be extra careful.

You can probably add another dozen boats who will show up outlaw without registering.

It's gonna take three hours for everyone to put their boats in the water. Lol

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

4 stalls makes it go pretty quick and some locals launch at other places .. Just have everything ready before you back into launch

Point taken lol!!!

I'm tempted to put in elsewhere knowing it's gonna be pushing 60 boats. I don't even think there's parking for that many of us 'tard-o's plus trailers. I've considered putting in at rainbow bridge and coming up that way... This still all hinges on the status of my damn boat by the weekend. Part of me hopes it's sold lol

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

Putting in at the bridge is a pretty good haul up river with that long tail .. But I'm thinking of doing the same myself but unsure .. Depends if I have a passenger or not

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

I'll probably put in at the airboat launch right before the bridge heading out of BC. If anyone wants to launch their let me know.

Yeah, It would be a good ride. I've ran from the 63 bridge all the way to Dam B on the Angelina river multiple times... Just gotta be patient lol. When it's running right it cruises around 20 light loaded.

I think I might launch at that ancelets marina where we are meeting up afterwards, anyone else gunna do that?

What kind of barge traffic is on the river?

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

That's my plan probably .. Easier when your by yourself and way less boat traffic

Hate to be a bum but anyone want an extra 190lbs in their boat for Saturday? [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

There is normally someone more than happy to have you ride.

If I have another passenger sometimes I'll stick him in a faster SD rig to keep my speed up closer with the pack till we get where we are goin

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

If we already signed the waiver online and filled out the registration forms and all that, do we need to do anything in the morning before launching/leaving? (saturday of course)

I was thinking about showing up early to beat the rush....

Just wondering. Because around here we have to deal with crew boats that don't slow down. A lot of times it's either turn around and go back up river, or sink. I try to stay out of big water if I can. Not to mention I swim like a brick.

I beg to differ on the crew boat part ..

But barges will slow normally at the park and so will the tugs ..

Post subject:  Re: Registration List

Anyone launching@ the main ramp, not a great place to tie up a bunch of boats. This is why everyone will cross the river and pull up on the bank to gather before heading to the riding area. If you have someone to back you down& park that works best. The river is not bad at all BB. Plenty wide to get out of the way of any tow boats and I have not seen any of Chaz's kind.
Not in the river for long any way.

How early are you guys talking about? PN park is only about 40min from my house.

I guess my situation still depends on if I can get mine to act right between now and then. My magic 8 ball isn't being nice to me about it right now though...

I was thinking about launching at about 8, but I'm open to whenever.
