Extra Fuel??

I run a six gallon tank and have never run out, but that is not running from the launch all the way up the river. I usually pull my boat out and launch under the I-10 bridge in the river for the afternoon. Its not bad on a calm day, i ran it yesterday and it took about 45 minutes to get from hugo to the locks. South wind was blowing staighr up the lake and there was no way around it. Its another good 25-30 minutes from the locks to miller. Its gonna be even longer too if we gotta go around. Supposedly thd pass iz blocked off past miller, if i have time and its not raining i'll try and get out and clear it. No promises though
