It is easiest when they are 3-4 days old, but some wait till they spay or neuter. A vet usually charges around $8 a pup for dew claws when they are 3 days old. |

By all means if you dont know how to do it have your vet remove them. I know I couldnt and would gladley pay my vet for it. Not expensive when they are a couple days. After a short time it will become an actual surgery and cost some $$$$. |

My 8 month old is getting his removed in a couple weeks when he gets his nuts cut. When we play around its like a Chicken Cock fight. I come out of there bleeding wth those sharp little hooks. I need to get rid of them. Vet is charging 35 bucks each extra when he is getting the other hangers cut. |

I will no doubt spend the change to have the vet do it. Just didnt want to miss the window to get it done. |
