Tank's first time with a bird!
Get out of the habit of letting him enjoy birds more than bumpers. Same happened with my dog, an it made training worthless. He never has any drive to retrieve bumpers more than 1/2 speed if I'm lucky. And after 6 or so retrieves, he could care less. He still makes the retrieve, but it's painful to watch. Nothin lights his fire with bumpers.

How old is tank? I know he's just a few weeks older than my pup, and he's still freaking huge.

If I did my math right, he will be 11 weeks on Tuesday. He is turning out to be a great little dog, my first pure bred and by far has been the easiest to ob train.
And yes he is a big boy, and strong.
