I had a 3rd pick male reserved on a litter . Only had 2 boys. Then I had to Waite again!!!!! (The next time i got first overall pick.)But the wait was worth it. The dogs are Pricey and there is a waiting list. Stacked pedigree and beautiful dogs as well as smart though |

Some local chocolate breeders/trainers: Joe and Tina Perron with Champion Labs. Nice HT level chocs. They train and breed their own dogs. Steve Plaisance and Yvonne Redell Plaisance with Bayou Labs. Again, nice HT breedings. The Gator Point name has been sold by Bill and Cleo Watson to Mandy Cieslinski up in Colorado. I'm not sure what she has on tap, but she makes frequent visits down here. All of these folks have websites you can google up. You might also find someone local (like the previous posts in this thread) who has a nice litter. Personally, I feel there is a glut in this area with the Dakota's Cajun Roux get. Roux was an okay dog who threw some nice pups, which I love, but he's in tons of the local chocolate pedigrees, including Chopper and some of Joe and Tina's dogs. Nothing wrong with that, but keep that in mind if you do hunt tests and decide to breed someday. I threw birds for both Roux and Chopper on many occasions as well as ran with them. Okay dogs. Not my thing, but they certainly threw/throw decent pups that I wouldn't shy away from for hunting dogs. |
