Silver labs originate from black labs. Akc, does not recognize the silver color as a lab color or breed. I still think there cool and unique looking |

for a long long time silvers were genetic defects. That trait has been bred out by most breeders but for some reason people want a special lab and they are now breeding for ther genetic defect. |
