 Looking for some help.
I've just been recently informed that us who volunteer at NOLA Lab Rescue, are to not take in anymore dogs. We are overrun with some issues and cannot sustain more take-ins versus adoptions. Many of you guys have seen the pups and older dogs that we've been saving and adopting out. One or two have personally had a hand in helping get these dogs placed.
Volunteers pay for the food/toys/treats and just about everything else. Some even cover vet costs. Some volunteers cannot and that goes on our account. Especially the HW treatments.
When NOLA Lab Recuse covers the cost of vet visits and the bills can be $1k+ and then we adopt a dog out for $300, you can see where we have problems. I know what you are thinking. Why adopt them for that much when you've spent so much. Well, it's hard to get someone to adopt at higher costs. The selling point is they are healty, UTD on shots, spayed/neutered. HW+ dogs become our biggest problem, but until we pull them from a shelter or take them from an owner that don't want them anymore, we never know what is the HW status.
I don't want to handle any of the money or whatever, so I posted the link to the website for you to donate via paypal. Also on that page are a few stores that the organization uses to raise money. US Bones, Scentsy and even wine by Benefit Wines.
Please take the time to look and help us out if you can. Thanks, Chad
I know there was talk about a mud run a while back. Someone else would have to take that and run with it if you want to have a benefit run or just take donations.
