captskr good to meet you. For a puppy with out papers she had no accidents in the truck on the 4 hr ride. For 4 days I was over there she never did. She retrieved 1st time over and over again. I think Jordy owes you some more money.  she is going to be a good one.

Will do, I'm offshore right now, I should be home tomorrow. My wife brought her to the vet yesterday for second round of shots and all was great! Also she is pretty much potty trained as my wife told me she only had 1 accident in the house and she is starting to go to the door when she needs to "relieve" herself which I find astounding for her age. I think this is a great sign of what she can be because of how fast she catches on to what we teach her, she has lots of energy and she would "play" retrieve the day we brought her home and still loves to do it. thanks dixie! right now she is at the trainer getting some basic obedience and getting introduced to the hunting game. i brought her about a month ago and man does this dog have some drive and is naturally intelligent. wasnt much that had to be done to get her retrieving and once i started she didnt want to stop. i actually talked to the trainer yesterday and he said she is doing pretty good but still has that hard nosed "puppyness" to her which is to be expected, but he did say he thinks she will turn out to be a great duck dog. i will get her back at the end of october to bring her around in the blind and work her myself until feb. when i will send her back to the trainer to get her polished off. when i get her back i will post some more recent pics up, she is really turning out to be a beautiful dog. |
