trainer said diesel is doing good so far at force fetch but said he acts just like a British lab as far as the stubborn phase. She told me he would grit his teeth at first and just look at her then turn his muzzle away and stare her down out the corner of his eye. Said it was like he was saying I ain't gonna do it and you can't make me. she said one notch up on the e-collar and he was more like well maybe you can

he progressed past that phase fast plus I had already started him on the opening and placing the dowel so he'd have a little easier transition with a new person once he got comfortable around her. I just ran short on time with work and overtime. but the trainer I work with has had and has quite a few master hunter titled dogs under her belt and runs in numerous field trials year round and even hosts a few

Fuck a field trial that is way different than an HRC test. I would request that your dogs don't get run in field trials and only HRC tests. Field trials have nothing to do with hunting. Your never goin to have to ouch your dog farther than 100 to 150 yards while hunting. Them field trial dogs go 400yrds plus. And idi t want to hear anyone's story about how your dog made a 300 plus yard retrieve for a duck bc that's bull shit!

The trainer is Linda Brewer in Selmer,TN she runs HRC, AKC, hunt tests, and field trials. She will train a dog for whatever you are looking for. She has two dogs that me and a number of other folks would give a testicle to own as far as hunting dogs go. Her two dogs Anvil and Grits are absolute beasts off the line and everywhere in between. I've never seen another dog that drives off the line harder than anvil and I been watching retrievers my whole life.

Yesterday was the first time I pushed mine past 100 yards. I wanted to try just for the hell of it. First we did a double mark and a blind, lined the first mark, had to tweet and command once on the second mark and tweet and command twice on the blind. Put her up let some other dogs run, got her back out, did a single mark and a 200yrd blind. Smoked the mark, got about 80 yards out, had to tweet And command a few times, but it was nothing more than angle casts, I was very impressed by her

What I can't stand is someone saying they have a good dog and then they bring rocks with them and throw them in the direction of the ducks for the dog to go get
