Keep her treated with Frontline or something of that nature. Is she scratching it ? Keep the area clean and dry. You could always put some cortisone cream on it. Ive gotten to where I take then to the vet if they get a hot spot. It's cheaper in the long run. |

I have a black lab and she looses damn near all her hair during the summer, she had fleas but i treated her and all is good, the hair is still missing though. When they get hot they scratch themselves also. |

My lab was doin the same thing. Turned out to be dry skin, which led to excess hair loss due to him Itchin at it.. Vet told me to go get a bottle of fish oil and put about a tablespoon in his food. within 3 days his Skin had cleared up and no more itching. I was also blown away at how good it has made his coat look. |

This is what I used and worked great and came highly recommended by my veterinarian. You can probably find it at your local feed & seed store or buy it online. |

My lab was shedding pretty bad a while back. Took her into the vet and was given a lesson in how not to store her food. No containers and get all the air out of the bag when you roll up the bag. Vet said the food loses it's nutritional value exposed to air in the bag or containers. Changed to lamb and roll the bag up tight, within two weeks her coat thickened up nice and shiny. 3 yrs later and still no problems. |

I used to give mine a can of sardines in olive oil every week or two. Made his coat beautiful; I just got lazy and quit buying the sardines. It's very good for the skin and coat. Give it a try, and wait a few weeks... |
