Been meaning to get a pic of her with all her ribbons and hopefully by the end of this fall she will be a senior or master hunter. I got to look into the akc tests more though

Nice going on your HRCH title . I mostly run HRC myself . HRC is more laid back than the AKC folks , so I would rather run a HRC hunt test any day than AKC . Some things that are different is you can't talk to your dog at the line , the judges will tell you to release your dog . As far as test , pretty much the same , but they have live flyers . I like this , but if you don't train with live flyers much , start . Don't go running the test untill your dog can go get that go bird without pulling a switch on that live flyer . Again congrats !

Thnx man, yea I think I'm done with her as far as HRC goes, will most likely do some more finished tests, but don't think ima try and run the grand with her, I didn't have the time to get her HRCH on her myself (which I would have preferred) I had to send her to a trainer for 3 months. I deff want to do the akc tests, but the closest one to baton rouge or evangeline is like a 4 hr drive. Lol which blows

That's why u leave her with jd so she can go get her mh in Michigan and she'll be done except for nationals..

Another thing different , with HRC- your dog can run the grand as long as it has a HRCH title . In AKC- Your dog has to qual every year with 6 master passes in order to go to the National Master , even if your dog has a MH already .

Don't think I'm worried about the national level. Don't have the time to train her myself for that and I'm not paying someone to do it

Congrats on your HRCH John! I know you're very proud.

BTW, there are AKC Clubs in Lake Charles, N.O., and South Mississippi....which are much closer than 4 hours away.

Awesome!!!!!!

My pup will run her first SHR in August. She is just now 10 months and doing great. Straight line drills today and she took to them just fine. Cant wait to get her passed and into the 2nd level HR tests. That will probably be after this first hunting season though. Not going to have time before season starts. Goal is to get her HRCH by end of next year.
