Did you get a bumper out to get her excited? Throw a couple retrieves and get her all excited and then give her the command to get into the new blind. My dog will do backflips if a retrieve is the reward. |

Well I took some advice and tried bumpers...she got excited and played but no luck there...added the gun and some frozen ducks....even more excited and still no luck...I saw a video if Chris akin and he forced the dog in by lead....tried this also with failed results...she acts like im putting her in a coffin...the blind is a field bully by rig em right and much smaller than old broken one...I dont know what else to try...getting very discouraged |

Yeah I give the kennel command too, but he may use "load up" instead of "kennel". Sounds kinda odd... Are the flaps wide open on the blind? Heck, get down there and crawl in and coax her in there. Once she does it the first time and figure out nothing going to hurt her, she'll be good. You could always try to coax her in with treats as well. |

Sounds like you've never actually trained the dog to kennel. Train it like Aiken does. Your dog is butt hurt because you're actually making it do something. It'll get over it. Start with fun teaching using the lead, dragging her in and praising. Once that's good and she'll go to it from distance, collar condition to it. This also enforces steadiness and reinforces the dog doesn't break for a retrieve. |
