will be looking at getting a pup at the first of the year and cant decide on what to get between the boykin or the springer

I have a Boykin so I am partial to them, what are you going to be hunting 90% of the time? If you are a hardcore duck hunter that hunts 30 to 60 days per season a lab would suit you better. If you like to mix up your duck hunting with dove and quail, I don't think you can do better than a Boykin.

Trained and hunted with both if your doing much waterfowl hunting I like the train ability of the Boykin and believe they are a little better in the water as a result of breeding where springers are about as good in the pheasant field as there is also a result of breeding Good luck

well I duck hunt most of the season but the water isn't deep where we hunt maybe shin deep and I dove hunt also

You are gonna have to travel for one. There is one in east texas I believe and A guy in my neighborhood has one from there . It's a good looking well mannered but he does not hunt him.h

only litter i found at the moment is in OK but i still have time cuz i dont plan on buying one untill after season unless i find a local breeder within a few hour drive
