Force Fetch
Not looking forward to Forcing my pup. Wish there was someone in my area. Probably start him after hunting season. He is 6 months old now.

Re: Force Fetch
Been force fetching my pup for about 10 days now. Started off using the gibbons west method. Made it all the way to picking the bumper up off the ground before I had to introduce the ear pinch to get her to work and that's where I'm at now. She is moving along quickly and I presume I should be on to walking fetch drills by the end of the weekend. Wish me luck.

Re: Force Fetch
so it is 100% on here, sit, heal by command and whistle? have you trained him on a stand to steady a mark? you can also teach remote sit, early stages of blinds casting to the stand?

Re: Force Fetch
Recommend follow a program from start to finish. No set age, but after all adult teeth are in. I would start FF after obedience is solid.
RTF forum is great resource.

Re: Force Fetch
Mucknaked understates his dogs ability. The dog is solid with obedience, even when distractions are added. He is also very solid on the remote sit with a whistle. Casts right and left without problems. I only hope my dog is doing as well as his by 6 months.
