Post Lets talk All-terrain / Mud Tires
ok. b4 we get started... i dont want any low-grade tires, such as mud brute, maxxis, or another along those lines. there great for mud, i admit.. but if u dont rotate every 5,000 miles thy feather bad and wear quciker!!

i am looking along the lines of Dick Cepek, Nitro, DynaPRo, goodyear. any other i may have missd. the size will be 33x12.50/18 , they are going on Moto Metal 951s..

who has experience with any of the above, how did they perform overall, how many miles can i expect to get, and cost.

i have had 3 sets of dick cepek radials.. got almost 60 K out of every one of them. they by far have my vote but i cant spend 300 a piece on tires!! looking to spend 200- 250 per tire.

I just put some Goodyear Wrangler Authority's on the old lady's Equinox, they whine a little and grip like a bitch, but I don't have any long term wear info for ya. The guys at the tire shop, plus all the online sites had great reviews about them.

Bfg mudterrains. Look good, pretty aggressive in the mud, and they last a long forkin time

I went with goodyear g622s!!! 100K tread life! Prob not what you're looking for but I like em! Before these I had Mickey Thompson Baja Claws and they were worthless. Worst tires I've ever paid money for. Heard good things about the Nittos.

BFG mud terrains have my vote. Many of the tire ratings show them having good ratings across the board. Yeah they are a little more pricey but in the experiences I have had with them they are well worth it. Whats on my rig now and will be on it when these wear out.

I do know the absolute highest tire ratings all around went to bfg a/t's. And gotdam, 100k tread life? Best I've seen before was 80k.

toyo open country m/ts all the way. i run 6 285/75/17s on my dually. i can tell you, ive hauled a 24 ft cattle trailer with 10 momma cows in it in water and mud up to the center caps and never looked back. 25000 miles and still got plenty of grip left on them.

i also ran a set of 35x12.50/17 on my old 3/4 ton. i only had 5000 miles on them when i sold the truck, but the guy who bought it still has them on the truck.

I'm running the Toyo A/T on my truck. I went with the 10 ply tire. A little more pricey, but well worth it. My tire guy said that on my 1/2 ton truck I should see 70 to 80k miles. I've got about 8000 now, and they look like the day I put them on.

Call PepBoys. My 285/75/16 are $140 a piece and you only have to buy 3 the 4th one is free. They're fine MT's with a 40,000 mile warranty. Dakota MT

pep boys doesnt carry anything in 18".

ok let me get this str8, u would rather buy a cheap tire and buy new lets say once a yr? (as the case with me.. i put over 40 K on a vehicle a yr, some years close to 50)

or spend an extra 300 and get a set that lasts 2-3 yrs on avg? money is not really an object here. im probly gona wind up spendin over a grand on a set of tires. u gotta realize theres a 50-75 dollar price difference between a 16 inch and a 18 inch tire...

I run hankook dynapro mt's. They pull pretty good and the are a smooth riding tire unlike the mudbrutes I had before. I have about 15k miles on them and they don't seem to have worn much at all. Plus they are 10 ply which is a plus.

I have the new Goodyear Duratracs...they are a real aggressive all terrain. They have done real good in the mud and have about 20,000 on them right now and they are wearing great.
