just curious because the other day i was running up the river with the beavertail and had no problems then the next day all types of problems. first she stopped running when going up river, then tried to start and nothing just turning over. rested a bit then pull choke and started. ran for 5-10 seconds then stopped. i also noticed that the gas bulb was sucked in and compressed in and the see through filter was full of gas. maybe flooded? then dismanteled gas lines and started again and ran great. I just replaces the fuel hose and bulb unit but the fuel hose to the filter is 7/8 regular fuel line and filter to carb is 7/16 fuel line what came off motor. anyone help with this problem because i really don't feel like getting stuck soon. thanks in advance and im new to the site and likey what i see.

Was the vent to the fuel tank open?

Ok, just checkin.... "a friend of mine" forgot to open the vent once and that's why I thought of it.
