 Re: How much money
i climb for a living too being a lineman, not nearly as much as those guys and not near the heights they go but they have to be some of the dumbest people i have seen climb. no waay in hell they should be able to free climb like that, thats just plain stupid, one slip and its 20 seconds before you hit the ground i guess they will have plenty of time to think about that screw up lmao!!!

 Re: How much money
I used to climb smoke stacks for a living. And watching that video even gave me butterflies in my stomach. The highest I ever had to climb was 250'. The highest I ever rode the elevator to was 600'. I don't miss those days one bit!

 Re: How much money
I don't think that looks like something I would like to do unless there is a 6+ figure salary to go alone with it. Those guys are nuts!

 Re: How much money
I'm not sure I could do it even for a 6 figure salary. I would love to, but I'm not sure my brain would let me. I start lockin up about 15-20 feet off the ground.

 Re: How much money
I would imagine that job wouldnt be that bad as long as you have a respect for the amount of power flowing threw those lines i have some of those huge concreate poles outside my house and when its quiet you can hear the current flowing threw them as long as you always follow protacal i think that job would be ok...dont rip your suit or your pucked

 Re: How much money
I would do it, just wear your safety equipment and focus on what you have to do and get it done. Prolly pays some nice $$$

 Re: How much money
it's very hard to imagine how much statcic electricity is generated by the helicopter(he use's a probe to short out the static elec. when he is loading and unloading). It was very amusing thought he sated he was only afraid of three things Height's,electricity and women!!!
