The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. Go here and click on the "donate a mammogram". This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

I text mike yesterday and he replied rather quickly. He is checking on a part for my motor.

 Re: EVT?
Here is my two cents.
I was left high and dry with a $400 stainless steel lawn ornament after purchasing a first generation muffler from another company that was and still is the largest player in aftermarket parts for mud motors. I returned the muffler not once but twice at my shipping expense for repair. The first time was for modification, because in the early days of aftermarket mud mufflers no one had thought that these things had to be properly braced so that they don't shake apart and break welds when used in this application. So I was a guinea pig. The second time, when the internal baffles were loose and it sounded like a soup can rattling around inside my muffler, I shipped it back with very specific instructions as to the symptoms and likely problem. It came back not fixed and not usable.
Upon contacting the owner of the company and talking to him, I was told that my muffler was out of warranty. Yes it was, but had broken during the warranty period and was not successfully fixed. I was also told that the vendor of these mufflers was no longer used and that all support for this generation of mufflers was discontinued (but there were new, better ones on the way). I made the arguments of "well, your name is on this thing, etc., etc." To no avail.
I vowed to never purchase parts from this company again. I have not. In my opinion, if a company puts their name on something, markets it and collects money when they sell it, they are responsible for supporting the product - good or bad. If your muffler vendor turned out to be a flake and that one year or lifetime warranty (whatever) that they arranged with the vendor is unenforceable, then it is the selling company's problem...not the end user's. You didn't do your due diligence when you signed them up as a vendor.
I work for a manufacturer of precision machinery. Much of the content is manufactured by us. Some is designed by us but purchased through outside vendors (electronic controls being an example). We have rigid design and quality processes that in a perfect world insure that only reliable components go into our products. But the world is not perfect and when something does go wrong, we don't send our end users to our component suppliers for relief. We man up and get the machine up and running with new or repaired parts. We go after the vendor for reimbursement. But guess what? If a vendor goes TU and is out of business we NEVER tell the end user that it's tough luck. We repair it or replace it with parts from another vendor. I can't imagine that it is good for customer relations to do it any other way.

 Re: EVT?
i have come to the conclusion that I am glad I got a Prodrive. If the muffler breaks nothing can go into the engine. So if people would just start buying Prodrive they wouldn't have to worry about breaking pieces of mufflers going into their engine. Just run it rattling.

 Re: EVT?
.02 I have to say mike and robert have been good to me and i hate to see whats happening. If it wasn't for them stepping up and opening EVT, investing money, time, lots of R&D "money", etc... there would be alot of us still with stock motors. Granted, there's other guys out there hoppin' up motors! But EVT was close enough for me to pull the trigger on modding! And yes i had a few problems with my stock case gasket and such, but thats the risk we all take when you try to get more out of what it was designed for! Even stock motors and parts phuck up. There's alot of people who talk about opening a small buisness but never do. There's tons of headache involved, more than I want to do after i get off of work. But instances like this is what keeps people from wanting to do anything more than their regular ole 9 to 5!! and thats what keeps big buisnesses big and parts expensive. I have to give KUDOS to EVT for doing what they did, and hate to see them get bashed all over the internet! Cause most of you wouldn't have done it.......... over and out
