I get up at 6am to take the dog out and make sure my son is up and getting ready for school. At about 6:25 he opens the door and what do I have to hear?
Boom, Boom.........Boom. over and over for the next 1/2 hour till I leave for work. Then yesterday my wife tells me that a girl at the school she works at was bitching about being woke up over the weekend by the duck hunters in the lake.
On the way to work, I'm sitting at the redlight and I can hear the shotguns going off. I'm like shit, I really don't want to go to work now.

Seems Lake Houmas is doing pretty good this year. Might have to seriously think about joining next year.

I was in it last year but it wasn't worth it. They are doing pretty good this year so far. I tried to get back in this year but I waited too late, all spots are taken.

I passed Monday morning on at Louis and I heard a few shots

All the shots I heard Wed morning were 3+ at a time. I had spoke to one of the members before the youth weekend, and he said they had a great teal season. The day before, he was brushing his blind and saw quite a few teal, groups of pouldeu, and a bunch of big ducks. He thinks they were greys. He said the water was low, grass looked good and they should have a better season than last year. Seems they are off to a good start.
