 Anyone ever patented?
I was wondering about the in's and out's of the patent process. Is it better to pay a lawyer or do it myself?

 Re: Anyone ever patented?
Yeah, I've got one. I would recommend an attorney. There are all kinds of tidbits that they know about patents that most guys don't. A good patent attorney will know how to write up the patent so that someone can't just come behind you and change one little thing and get a patent on basically the same product and they usually have contacts that know how to draw up those isometric drawings that you see attached to the patent's written descriptions. One thing, get you check book, a good patent attorney will most likely cost around $10,000.00 for starters.
Oh, and get rid of that Mudmotortalk.com from your avatar!!!!
