Re: stage 1 gator-tail engine oil question I run 10W30 Mobile1 in mine. Last motor had 211 hours on it when I sold it with no leaks.

Re: stage 1 gator-tail engine oil question Any good name synthetic will be fine, One thing i started using on all my motors is adding Lucas oil stabilizer.
It really helps on startups, cuz that is whats most damaginging to a motor. I also use WIX filters, their the best IMO |

Re: stage 1 gator-tail engine oil question In the south east super tech oil is made by mobile one. I run the 15-50 synthetic.why so heavy? I have friends that drag race and to save their motors they run straight 50wt and i only run in the summer months so no cranking problems. And from what i understand from different forums is that a sythetic does not create leaks, but because the molecules are smaller they more easily seep thru the leak potential spots that are there.
