is there anyone out there that has put something like a v-twin harley motor on a mudbuddy sd frame

yep...it was a harley....it went fast fast.

There have been a number of harley motors put on, and beavertail did a harley evo on a longtail, no longer in production though.
The results were much more speed and power. In Beavertail's case, much more tiller torque and handling compromise too.
