 gatortail 1848 or 1754
lookin to get a new boat any info from anyone that may have one ? i hunt mainly with 2 ppl in the boat and the dog and all the gear

Either one will be great for the load your planning on carrying. I personally would go 18 x 48. You can expect speeds of 29-33 with a light load with this hull and a stock 35 GTR.

the other thing is how much is the boat goin to slide when i ture ? This will be the first smoth bottom boat i will ever drive. Im askin cuz i will be runnin the river

The 54" will slide more than the 48" will.

I have the 18x54 extreme & the boat turns great & the extreme is worth the extra money IMO. As for speeds it runs about 27-28 one person no load & 24-25 two people,blind & hunting gear.

I agree with beck on the extreme turns on a dime but a little slower but the 54'' bottom I can carry 3 people and gear at 25 or better

both boats im lookin at are slick bottoms not the extreme

I have 17x54 with the hunt deck.. I love it!
I have a review posted.... Im totaly happy with it. We had a max load at the end of the season in Wax Lake.
3 guys all about 200, dog 70lbs, guns, & 120 decoys not only did we get on step I ran 22-23mph
