Post Re: Removing GTR lower unit
I guess this has turned into a " my shaft is longer" thread. Well, I'll just call GT back and tell them to put an 8' shaft on mine. Now bite me.

As does your male pattern baldness & Chewbacca-like hairy back.

Out of curiosity, is 32" longer on that side of the Neches than it is on this side?

Sorry Coe about helping this topic go south. Just got caught up in the s$&t talking. And Rob, 32" is the same size anywhere you go. Clickster is just a topper, I figured it out. Next, 23hp is more than 35hp. I'm waiting on him to explain why.

23gtr are geared different and intern are faster than the 35! Naw, I'm not a topper by any means. my buddy ran a 23 all last year with the 38 inch shaft and i wanted the same because it performed great in the mud we hunt in. so i kept my 23gtr the same as his, shaft length and all. Like i said i'll measure it and prove to yall. but till then on the gator-tail site if you look at the picture of the stock 23gtr it only has 7 bolts holding the skeg on and 7 holding the brace and total of 14. i have a total of 20, ten on each side cause its longer. i'll just post a pic wheni get home to show yall.

Well its confirmed, there is no 38" shaft there is only the original shaft which is 26" and then there is the 32". My shaft has 10 bolts holding the lower skeg on to the shaft and there is 8 nuts and bolts holding the lower unit to the belt housing there isn't 10. Confrimed and blue printed lol
