 Gore-Tex Rain Gear
Been looking at the cabala's guide gear and tourney trail gear, also the bass pro 100mph gear. I borrowed a pair in a tournament last month and where great with the weather (front with rain, fog, and a wet boat every morning). Just looking for which ones hold up better/ best bang for the buck.

 Re: Gore-Tex Rain Gear
I bought the Cabelas Dry Plus fleece for a hunting trip on Kodiak Island. It will keep you warm, but not make you sweat when the temp starts to get a little warmer. I would get this to keep you dry as well. I hunted in snow and rain and never got wet...

 Re: Gore-Tex Rain Gear
Go to an army surplus store and find a military gortex parka and pants set. Ugly camo patern but is by far the best hunting clothing I own. Tough as nails, waterproof, and windproof. I've had mine for about 10 years now and is still holding up.

 Re: Gore-Tex Rain Gear
I'm def not a fan of our issued gear (mil-spec gortex). But whatever it is drake uses is an a+ in my book. That is until you come up on that first duck and the rain just plots down the arms.

 Re: Gore-Tex Rain Gear
Like all things you pay for what you get. IMO frog toggs are garbage. Never tried the cabelas bran but I sure its comparable to the 100mph from bass pro. Pro qualifier rain gear is decent. They do hold water on your lap when sitting down and leaks through to your pants. But if your standing up no problem.
