Re: props on gator tails
I wouldn't be looking for a new boat if I had had one that ran that well!

Re: props on gator tails
yes it does i like the bot but there is one more down fall to it even with the mods done to it it seems like when u put one more person in it it looses alot of speed so the only reason i can say it soes that is bc of it only being 17foot with two people it drops to mid 34s to 35 depending if the water is choppy are flat

Re: props on gator tails
Jamie was you running the 11 inch gt prop. Now gt has a differant big blade than the mb prop. When i tested them the new gt prop was 1.5-2 mph than the md big blade might won't to try it. And also the reverse is better also.

Re: props on gator tails
Jaimie, that is good speeds. Best I got was 37.5 and I have the same mods. Since I added the console the best I have gotton was 32, but I believe its due to 2 reasons. One is that I had Rick put wedges on when he built the hull which are now hurting me cause I moved the weight forward and the other is cause my 12 inch prop measures about 11 and 1/4 right now. I will let you know in a few weeks when I get around to cutting the wedges and putting a new prop on.
