what would give better performance on my boat?

 what would give better performance on my boat? buying a surface drive motor to go on my Gatortrax 14x38 skiff, I've had my mind set on the mudbuddy mini 23 for a while but I'm reading on here more and more about copperhead motors. Its half the horsepower though, any thoughts?

Re: what would give better performance on my boat? Even though that is a relatively small boat, it is still made out of .125 with the exact same bracing as their larger boats so it is pretty heavy. I doubt a single cylinder motor would push it very well, but if you are close enough to copperhead or a dealer I would get the boat first and get a test drive to see what it does. And if it doesnt work to your satisfaction you could always order that 23 later.

Re: what would give better performance on my boat? so the extra wieght from a bigger motor like the prodrive or gatortail wouldn't make the back end sit too low in the water?
