I've already signed up for an opening hunt on Saturday right after the opener. Free BBQ with your paid entry should be a good season.

This spot is behind my buddys house that we fixed for the first time last year.. We have standing winter wheat mixed in on it this year.. Nothing real big, but a spot close to home that will shoot 6-8 adults and a few kids without being peppered all afternoon..

they have grown in numbers down here over the past 15 years. If you have a place to hunt thats close to some nieghborhoods around here you have a strong chance to kill some. When hunting down the road I have not killed one yet. They are much bigger than a mourning dove,I can tell you that.

I can't wait! I've already bushhogged the remnants of the winter wheat and started on the millet. The rains have been very kind to my sunflowers and corn.

Hope the doves cooperate!

Dove hunting stopped for me once I got married. The wife doesn't let me shoot them off the bird feeders in the yard anymore.

We really don't see to many doves up here. You see a few but our limit is 15 and it would take a full day hunting to kill 15.
