Post mud motor oil
What brand of oil do you guys run in your motors? I've read that synthetic oil helps you gain some performance. Is that true?

Who's River? What's his deal with an honest question? I mean DAMN! I just asked cause that's what I heard. Thanks white1! What is amsoil & where do I get some? Hoping it will increase my rpms some. Think my prop might be worn. It's got over 100hrs on it and losing some speed.

Oil is not going to help your speed.I bet you need a new prop.Buy you 2 quarts of Mobil 1 and a new filter.Change it when you think it needs it or 100hrs.OIl change is NOT going to make you gain the speeds you saw with a good prop.

Sure you're right.

I am sure you run your stuff harder than anyone.

But it still does not diminish the fact that it is a GOT DAYUM lawnmower engine.

You going to sit there in your retarded suit and tell me that you use your boat motor harder than pedro uses El Jefe's Zero Turn at WIDE FORKING OPEN throttle 10 hours a day 265 days a year(i gave you 100 for winter) I would be willing to bet a large sum of money that there is not but maybe 1 or 2 people on this whole board that have put more than 1000 hours on short tail MM in the last 5 years. Lawn care companies do that each and every summer and don't spend as much time asking "what kind of oil should I use in my super duper scobbyriffic grass cutting machine?"

I don't claim to be the smartest man in the world, but this thread is the God's honest proof that I smarter than at least two of you.

Basin got me fired up on purpose and you followed it up with some other shit that Corky wouldn't even say so I will just end it with this.

I'm done.

Peace out.

Oh and BTW,,,,Texas Heat, you have a hopped up running 32, I know cause before Russ delivered it to you I put 2 quarts of Amsoil in it. That is all I had btw.

Morons

River u don't know me I'm just a coonass from Pierre part no suit just jeans and boots ask pedro how hard his engine works if u new anything u would know most comm mowers the motor only turns the hydraulic pump that turns the blades and wheels we could do this all day I just don't think your smart enough to keep up oh yea name callin is for kids grow a set boy

Ok I got you.

So that big ass B&S engine is only there for looks?

Don't be a moron,,,,,,,,,,,,please.

If they are putting a 30 some odd horse power engine on the mower, irregardless of the fact that it is only turning a Hyd. Pump, it still is a 30 some odd hp engine running at WOP for hours on end.

What am I missing here? Some of you South La. fellows help me out here. Do your mowers run like perpetual motion machines or what.

See what you did here Basin?

Jack ass

The point is the motor isn't ever under a strain just the pump yes the motor is running just not as hard but anyway whatever your higher qaulity oil will have less fatigue on bearings cylinder walls on any engine even that small one in your head river

Dayum! I just asked a simple question & all hell breaks loose. Sorry I'm not as smart as the all-knowing River. Damn dude...........get over yourself! It may be a lawnmower engine but it's being used on a forkin boat. I don't think lawnmower engines are used the same as in a marine application. Lawnmower engines are run wide open where a mudmotor is run at different rpms & loads. Dipsh!t! Maybe you need to go stand in front of the mirror & carry on a conversation with yourself since you & your image are the only intelligent ones around. Or get back on your meds!

Thanks to all the rest who were willing to help someone out!

Tulsa,,,,,,,,that is funny.

Sundance, the whole point is that, a lawnmower engine does in fact get used as hard or harder than a boat motor. It is run at WOP throttle for hours on end in extreme hot temps with a high dust and debris content in the air. This happens for hundreds if not thousands of hours every year.

As I have stated already, I would be willing to bet that there are only a couple of dudes on this board that use their Boat/Lawnmower engine even a fraction of the hours that a commercial lawn care application puts on these power plants.

End of rant,,,,,,,,,,,BTW, I am an Amsoil dealer if you want to order some Oil that will make your boat run faster.
