Lol no matter how many times I see him snatch those mice up it never gets old! I've been trying to feed him more often lately cause I want to get him big. He's only like 26-27 inches right now. Maybe one day he'll handle up on a rabbit or something cool like that haha

Max size for a ball python is about six feet. Best part about em is their disposition. I don't know many people ever been bit by one. My now wife and I bred boas for a few years and they got up to 10 or so. Had a rock python that bit the shit out of me and got to 9 in less than 2 years. Mean bastrd. We used to buy 60 rats at a time, put em in a pillow case one at a time, smack em off a door frame, wrap em in plastic, freeze em, then thaw when needed. Stayed away from Bermese, those forkers are unpredictable! The highest numbers we had were 56 boas at one time!

Curious, what do you do with a six foot python when you can't keep it anymore? Say you now have a newborn baby in the house or you can no longer afford to feed it. I would think it would be illegal to let it go in the wild, being they are not a native species. I guess you could kill it then fry it up for dinner.

We ran ads in local newspaper and gave them away when we were done with em. NEVER let them go. Nothing good can come of it!

im gonna try and get him to eat once a week. I want him to double his size in the next few months and get to where hes eating big rats lol I think hes a pretty cool pet just because hes easy to take care of. I hardly do anything for him and he still is fine. few light changes here and there for some awesome home entertainment

That's a pretty ball, brilliant colors. I had a brazilian rainbow boa when I was a kid, she was gorgeous, skin had more sheen than oil in a mudpuddle.
