Ok i installed the Mikuni BPS kit on my 23hp gtr with the MM exhaust and test ran it. At idle it was high so i adjusted it to around 1100rpm/s OOW. In water idle in gear drops to 650 and don't die. Problem i had was from Idle to 2300 rpms in the water it boggs bad and i have to feather the throttle so it dont fall on its face. But once on plain up to 3/4 throttle it screams all the way to 3750 rpm's then from 3/4 to full throttle it loses about 150 rpm's. whats sounds like the problem? i'm lost on this! Wrong jet, to big? heads cant flow enough to keep up with gas coming in? HHHHEEELLLLPPPPP!

sounds like its dumping to much fuel at once. try the jets.

Drop your high speed jet down 1-2 sizes.

Oh and at 3/4 throttle its running 3800 rpm's tilted as high as it will go. also if i tilt it just a bump down it speeds up ut drops to around 3720. also my boat it beat to piss on the bottom!

Ok called Micha at MB. he said to run it without the K/N filter to see if it helps. he said the 23hp does that cause the carb for its a bite to much for it. that without the filter it should help. he also said to play with the air/fuel mixture screw, to back it out some. whats yall thoughts on this? i need to sun some kinda filter so trash dont get in it.

so no carb should fix it? i would prefer to run a carb or something to keep water, and dust out of it while running and or trailering. its got a 180 jet in it right now.

Yea, I pm'ed him. Thanks for that. I don't want to gave to play the throttle during hunting season. Ill check my plugs maybe go with a hotter plug. Also might look into dropping a jet size.

Should not have a carb bigger than a 33mm on that motor.
