 Cam RPM's and Rev plate
Bringing my GTR (CDI) in to gator-tail for some warrenty things.. Crank Case gasket is the main reason... So while its open I was thinking why not a cam?!?.. Can some one tell me the RPM's I might get out of a new cam..
Also thinking about the new Rev plate they have.. Anyone have one yet and can you tell me more.. I would like to know before having one and after thoughts.. Looks kinda bulky..

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
4350 is all the rpms u will get with a cdi no matter what u add. The reverse plate is pretty nice, keeps mud from slinging in the boat

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
I aware of the 4350 rev limit of the CDI motor.. The question is how much does a cam increse your RPM"s after installed..

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
I've had the reverse plate in all sorts of stuff with no issues yet. It's well worth it

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
Been running the reverse plate in a few different areas. It works as described and dosent hinder forward performance!

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
You want some headwork to compliment that cam. the cam will want to move more air in and out so the porting will help. your sig dosent show you have any headwork on your engine.

Re: Cam RPM's and Rev plate
I do not have any head work done... Im thinking heads and cam will deff push me well over the Rev limit.

 Cam RPM's and Rev plate
I have heads (decked .010) exhaust and mikuni. With a 38/48 gear (mudbuddy) I turn 4300-4350 light load with the prop under water (no rooster tail). If I trim up at all it hits 4600 quick. Runs 31.5 light and 29 with a load. Just to give you a reference. I think my gear ratio is close to what a GTR has, assuming that's what your running
