Post Remington hypersonics discontinued?!
Called Rogers last week to order a case of Remington hypersonics, and the guy told me they had been discontinued, and had pretty much had a recal on all hypersonic shells.. Anyone know why?

Just went to the Remington webstite, and I haven't found anything to saying that they have been dicontinued nor any recalls on them.

I did read somewhere about some not performing right and leaving the wad in barrel and barrels were blowing up!Never heard anything about a recall!

Those hypersonics were probably the most badass shell on the market. Black clouds weren't worth a penny to me

May be true because no stores around here have recieved any new stock. Some have some 3 1/2" BB but I been watching for months now to get some to pattern and they have never arrived.

Tried em out last season and they put the smack down on the ducks !! Probably all the cheap azz import guns were blowing up from the high chamber pressures ? I used to think the black clouds were not good till I bought a kicks BC choke won't shoot anything else now

Yea I hear with the kicks chokes they are damn good. It's because black clouds wad is made to stay together for a while, most chokes are designed to strip the wad when it passes through it. The kicks BC choke Doesent have the grooves made to strip the wad. I could see it being able to take down ducks from way out there

From what I hear the blind sides are crap. Way overated, not a very good pattern from reports, not worth the money.

Don't think ive ever shot Kents but I definitely want to try them after what everyones said about them

Everyone around here has the 3 1/2" BBs and some have 2s but its been on the shelf since last year. I dont shoot 3 1/2" shells. But is still early and most stores outside of Walmart seem the be stocking later every year.

I think 199 at Rogers but I can't remember. Not real worries about price, I just want a good patterned shell. I take alot of long shots, and like to kill the birds instead of wounding them or, not knocking them down at all!

Yep, $200 and free shipping at Rogers.

Anyone ever patterned the heavy metals? Are they a good shell?

I patterned the Black cloud 3" 2s against my kent 3" 2s and outta my SX3 with a standard Mod choke tube I had almost 40 pellets with the black cloud at 35 yards with a 15" circle and I had about 28 to 30 with the kent. I chose to stay with the kent cause 10 pellets to me doesn't justify spending 22 bucks a box for Black Cloud... I have and always will shoot kent.

Buy what ever shells you choose and try as many chokes till you find the one that matches the shell!! I shoot $ $12.47 a box shells and will shoot with any $22-$25 a box shell out their!! Y'all dumb asses talk about people who are bought and paid and your no different than them!! The people who hunted ducks in the old days shot 2 3/4 shells with paper casing and never had issues!!

I'm not the best shot there is, Im not going to lie; so I buy whats economical for shooting skills. I shoot kent's or Estate. It's all about how well you can shoot your own gun.

I was buying fiocchi 3" #3's for around $120 a case. I've been using them for the past 2 years and have been really pleased with the performance. SX3, patternmaster choke, and these shells pattern great.
