 replacing a lower unit.
I've got the older style lower unit of a prodrive. a 2007 I believe. Anyway I noticed the last 2 years I've gotten water in the lower unit. I probably need to replace the seal again, but I just did that 2 years ago and I probably onluy put 15 -20 hours on in that time frame. I always make sure to clean behind the prop after hunting.
Anyway, I was wondering what is would cost to replace the lower unit. What does a new lower unit cost? Can I get any credit for mine?
Or is it better to trade mine in for a new motor all together. I only have 70 hrs total on the motor. It runs great, and I've thought about putting on some mods. But I also hear they have done some improvements on th new vangaurds. Looking for some cost & options.
Thanks,

 Re: replacing a lower unit.
That's not bad at all. What about the new motors. Are they worth to trade up with only 70hrs on my current motor. Mine runs great, but thought if I had to put money into a lower unit then I might as well look at a whole new motor. Although 575 isn't that much cost to upgrade in my book.
