I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what size boat to run my 40 hp surface drive on???? Meaning the best all around boat for speed, hole shots and mud running. Thanks J Hall

 Re: Motor Help
You really need to be more specific on terrain, loads, expected speeds?

 Re: Motor Help
Its a 40 hpsd muddy buddy..I live in FL so lots of vegetation, mud, shallow water...as far as loads I will probably have atleast two to three people in the boat when hunting but I'd like to be able to run as fast as that motor will carry me..

 Re: Motor Help
18x50+ 18' is seems to be the best performer for load/speed. If you are flats fishing you may want to go a little wider.
