.270 WSM I reload for using Nosler 140gr Accubonds. Pretty interesting that the first 4 posters on this thread are all using a .270 bullet. I'm sure the 30-06 guys will get here shortly.

7mm-08 remington 140 gr core loks never had a blood trail more than 50 yards but most of them just fall where they are that's the blood trails I like

I have been shooting .270 130 grain core-lokts since I got the gun when I was 16, but have gotten two bad boxes in the last year. I am switching bullets and probably gonna go with the Federal Premium Sierra Gameking in 130gr

My custom Mauser 308 150gr sst(experimenting with superformance) 30-06 150 grain nosler ballistic hand loads
Both of the above loads shoot way better than me

You guys looking for some new ammo to try should take a good look at the Nosler Accubonds. They're as accurate as a ballistic tip but stay intact like a Partition almost always guaranteeing an exit wound. I know a premium bullet isn't needed for deer but when you really think about it, ammo is the cheapest thing when you factor in all other costs so why skimp on it.

.243 NEF Handy Rifle. 95gr Winchester BSTs. 3 8pts and 1 doe so far. 50, 150, 201, and 250 yds. One took 2 steps, three never twitched. There is no replacement for shot placement. Now that I've jinxed myself, I'll miss one tomorrow!!!

I've always known and called 243's wound'um guns cause thats all they do. Thats why i shoot a 30-06 and in the neck, body, shoulder, head them suckas don't go nowhere.
